Unit Wellness is here because good people were getting hurt doing good work.

This is the story of why that didn't sit right with me — and what I decided to do about it.

Our Story

I always knew two things about myself: I wanted to work in the world of holistic wellness and preventative health, and I wanted to eventually build something of my own. I think in ideas, and I feel things deeply — so it made sense that whatever I built would come from a real problem I couldn't stop thinking about, not a spreadsheet.

That problem found me through a close friend of mine, who's spent years working in construction. Every so often, he'd tell me about the toll it was taking on his body — the kind of pain that quietly builds up after years of physical work most of us never have to think about. I'd listen, and I'd offer suggestions, the way you do for a friend. But the conversation kept repeating itself, month after month, with nothing really changing.

Eventually I realized the problem was never the advice — it was where the advice was coming from. He didn't need casual suggestions from a friend. He needed real, consistent care, built specifically for the way his body actually worked. Once I saw that clearly, I couldn't unsee it: this wasn't just something to sympathize about anymore. It was a problem I was in a real position to solve.

That realization is where Unit Wellness began — a company built to put people like my friend in front of the care they actually need, delivered by people equipped to give it.
